Finally! An Announcement!
*ahem*
On Oct. 16 – 18 in Seattle, the “Creating Digital Dividends”
Conference will be hosted by the World Resources Institute. It’s
purpose is to bridge the technology gap between First and Third
World countries. It is sponsored by 3Com, Compaq, Ericsson, HP,
iGeneration, Intel, Lucent, Microsoft, Motorola, Nokia,
Weyerhaeuser, Worldcom, and RealNetworks. Its media sponsor will be
Business Week.
The Institute has not yet seen fit to include the only companies
which market products and services many in the Third World can
actually afford, the Linux companies.
This is your chance to make a little noise, promote Linux,
and have a good time, too! If you’ll be in Seattle on Monday,
October 16, 2000 come down and hobnob with the rich and famous, and
give them a few CDs.

Hope to see you there!
Thanks Abhijeet for the site, Dan Wilder and Don Martl for
putting up our list and helping plan strategy.
