“User is in his ‘forties’, and is normally not clad in /.
t-shirts. More of a ‘suit’ I’m afraid. PC experience started with
Apple II and visicalc. Operates from a home office with frequent
visits – and log in per laptop – to other offices in Europe.”

“With an attitude that habits does not have to rule my life
I really feel that I’ve won by changing to Linux. It’s stable,
it’s controllable, it’s even fun.
(always thought that
learning was fun..)”

“And the few times I needed a helping hand both Mandrake and
Caldera did their best without sending me through the hoops of four
levels of interrogation before support – MS style. Friends that
knows Linux is a boon, thanks to those!… My favourite story for
Mac and Windows friends is about Jean Reilly (the chap behind
Moneydance) that replied twice on a Sunday within two hours, and
offered to help porting Quicken stuff into my Moneydance! And the
costs, or rather lack of such! I’m a fanatical tester of all kinds
of applications. I’m now the embarrassed owner of a stack of unused
(Windows programs) licenses.”
