Linux Candy: xcowsay – displays a cow on your desktop with message

For this article, we’re looking at a different take on cowsay. It goes by the name xcowsay. This program displays a cute graphical cow and speech bubble. The program was first started over 12 years ago, but it’s still under active development, with a new release published only last week. Linux Candy is a series of articles covering interesting eye candy software. We’re only featuring open-source software in this series.
