Linux Expo Exhibitors setting up

The show floor is alive with vendors setting up their
booths.

Linux Today booth setup:

Yes, that’s me in the picture, playing with my workstation and
preparing to post this story. To the left you will see microphones,
to be used by our friends, Linux-Radio.com to broadcast live
from the floor. Tomorrow morning at 10:00am they will be
interviewing Bob Young of Red Hat Software.

Show floor slowly comes to life

What is there to say here except it’s amazing how cold and dark
a trade show looks until the vendors show up and the visitors start
flowing in.

Boxes and a loading dock

The unfortunate lighting masks the fact that we are completely
unable to move our car, thanks to the owner of that big yellow
U-Haul truck. If we get a ticket, I’ll just transfer it to the
U-Haul’s windshield. 🙂

Dave cradling Tux the Penguin

No trade show is complete without Tux the Penguin. He has
flown
at Comdex/Fall 1997, came to Linux Expo 1998, and now
Linux Expo 1999. He actually belongs to my wife, who is extremely
jealous about who she allows to take the Penguin. I must keep one
eye on it at all times! 🙂

Stay tuned for more updates as the show progresses, and if
you’re reading this from the show, stop by Booth #93 to say
“Hello”.
