“Battle for Wesnoth is a fantasy turn-based strategy game.
Battle for control of villages, using variety of units which have
advantages and disadvantages in different types of terrains and
against different types of attacks. Units gain experience and
advance levels, and are carried over from one scenario to the next
campaign.

“Sound familiar? Kind of a standard these days? That’s pretty
much what we thought, but decided to take a closer look. The
screenshots looked pretty good, though the game is still in
development, (version 0.6.1 being most current and version 0.6.99.3
the latest development release). The comments at Linux Game Tome
made it out to be a pretty slick title with a lot to offer, so we
decided to check it out…”
