“Well, you finally got yourself an ADSL connection, eh? Now you
can rock the web with your high connection speed of up to 1.5 mbps
downstream and up to 256kbps up! You are the master!, NO MORE PPP
crap right? Well think again… You have not escaped the PPP
headache just yet.”

“This is my second ADSL howto that I had to write because I
switched over from one ADSL provider to another. After all this
time, I thought that the connection method was the same for all
ADSL protocols. However, I found out the hard way .. Trial and
ERROR.”

“I am here to make your job easier. If you read my original ADSL
howto and still couldn’t get you ADSL connection to work, maybe I
can help you out here. This howto is for those ISPs who use
PPPOE: A protocol that works with PPPD and your Ethernet card. Not
to worry, the ADSL that you ordered is not a dial-up. It only needs
to establish the link thru this method.
Once it’s up, you are
on “EASY STREET”
