featured… my one-on-one conversation with Linus Torvalds himself,
following Linus’ own opening remarks.”

between an actual event and the news that issues from it.”

“On the one hand, Linus had some very intesting things to say
about the nature and shape of Linux and open source development and
how that pertains to business–and also about a few other topics,
such as his interest in embedded uses for Linux. On the other hand,
what made the news was mostly his remarks about Sun and Microsoft
(plus, to a lesser extent, his remarks about embedded Linux).”
