post-IPO strategy of making Linux and Red Hat virtually synonymous

“How about the formation of the Red Hat Center for Open
Source?”

“Red Hat, Inc. announced today that it was establishing a new
non-profit organization, called the Red Hat Center for Open Source,
with a stated goal of “advancing the social principles of Open
Source for the greater good”. Red Hat, Inc. co-founder and
Chief Technology Officer Marc Ewing will act as the new
organization’s Founding Director.
