“Linux is well-known as a robust and capable operating. Linux
systems seldom crash outright, and when they do, the cause is
usually a hardware fault or a buggy experimental driver.

“Even so, Linux isn’t perfect. A variety of causes–a forgotten
root password, corrupted partition tables, or a corrupt
filesystem–can lead to serious problems, up to and including an
inability to boot the computer.
