“How to replace Windows with Linux for daily use” is the theme
of a new series of pages
recently released in the Linux-Mandrake Demo & Tutorial Center.
In this first installment, Linux Multimedia applications are
showcased – particularly the sound, graphics and video applications
that can serve as replacements for popular programs that run under
Windows.

The showcased applications include Grip for
creating Ogg and MP3 files, XMMS for listening to
digital audio, Broadcast 2000 for editing video,
Gnapster, editing images with The
Gimp
, and many other favorites.

A download
edition of the L-M Demo & Tutorial Center is available for
offline viewing.

Hope you stop by, your comments and suggestions are always
welcome.

Cheers,
