“After 3 years of development, GeeXboX 1.0 was finally released!
Not only does it supports more hardware than before, it now
features DVD menus and allows you to watch and listen to SHOUTcast
WebRadios, WebTVs or even RTP/RTSP streaming over the Internet.

“If you’re not familiar with the GeeXboX project, think of it as
a Live CD which consists of a Linux operating system, on top of
which runs a graphical interface based on MPlayer. You can boot on
the CD without installing anything, and from the interface which
appears on your screen you can read multimedia files present on
your hard-drive, your CD, DVD, USB key or even on the
Internet…”
