“WorkSpot, http://www.workspot.com/ is a new web site that
functions like a Linux work station and allows you to get a taste
of just what the Linux operating system is like.
It may also
be used for actual production, but at present its in the beta stage
of testing.”

“The first problem that I had was just getting registered. It
took me TWO WEEKS to get approved. This, I understand, was caused
by being written about on the Slashdot web site. A ton of people
must have registered. Because of this site being Slashdotted and in
beta testing, it runs slow. Sometimes its so slow that you cannot
get anything done.”

“I connected to WorksSpot using both my Windows operating system
via IE5 and Linux Mandrake 7.0 via Netscape. There seems to be Six
different parts to this site. First there is the Linux Work Station
which seems to work ok as far as I can tell. Then you have File
Manager, E-mail, Preferences, Help and Logout. The Linux section is
the section I have spent most of my time.”
