Here are the most recent happenings at LPI.


We are pleased to be able to report that our first level exams,
LPI 101 and 102 are now Live at all Vue (Virtual University
This means that if you take your exams today, you will receive your
results immediately – no waiting! This is true of all the Vue
locations both in North America and also around the world.


Now that we are Live, we will be sending all remaining score
reports to our candidates by October 25th. Please look for your
score reports to arrive by snail mail by the end of October


Our friends in South Africa – CLUG (Cape Linux Users Group)
recently participated in a show called “Computer Faire Cape 2000”

Our thanks to Thomas Andrews who did some promotion of the LPI
program. Thomas says Linux is really gaining some ground in South
Africa – good news!


We are busy trying to get LPI recognized, and to that end we try
to attend as many shows, and conferences as possible to talk to
people and let them know our mandate, and our philosophy.

We were at: Interop in Atlanta in September and also at ALS
(Atlanta Linux Showcase) – We were also in Frankfurt at the Linux
Business Expo there. Thanks to those who came by to either help out
or just to say hello.

assistant of speaker for LPI – please let me know, we would love to
have you participate in some way:


Our next ‘appearances’ will be at the Toronto Linux Expo at the
Toronto Convention Centre on October 30th, 31st and Nov 1st.

of our website available – and we are in process of translating
into quite a few others, thanks so much to those who have helped

It’s been another exciting month here at LPI, and we are just
waiting for the translation to be completed so that our exams will
