Linux Today at Linux Expo: Reports and Goodies Galore

by Dwight Johnson

Linux Expo opens in Raleigh, North Carolina, today, Thursday,
May 20. Linux Today will be reporting on the event live from our
booth on the exhibits floor.

Linux Today’s own Dave Whitinger will be posting stories from
the booth over a 10Mbs Internet connection on his compact Linux
workstation provided by Bynari
Systems
of Dallas, Texas. Thanks, Bynari.

Dave especially wants to talk to everyone about LinuxPR, the new Linux Today site for
posting Linux-related press releases and announcements that we
launched Wednesday at the Expo.

Linux Today is delighted to welcome Lukas Dickie and Jeremy
Klomp of Linux-Radio.
Joining us in the Linux Today booth, Linux-Radio will broadcast
live from the exhibits floor.

Firm on the broadcast schedule is an interview with Red Hat CEO
Bob Young at 10:00 AM EDT today. Because the broadcast is over the
Internet, it is always possible to hear the Linux-Radio broadcasts
at a later time by going to the Web site if you can’t catch them
live.

A number of other Linux-Radio interviews are in the works. Visit
the Linux-Radio Web site
for the broadcast schedule.

Lukas and Jeremy brought some nice toys with them — a Web
camera will be displaying live images from the exhibits floor on
their Web site and we will be using the digital camera they brought
as well to make our Linux Expo stories more close up and
personal.

A limited number of Linux Today teeshirts are available for
$12.00 each. The design is very clean and classic — white with a
simple Linux Today logo over the heart on the front and Tux the
penguin on the back. Get them while they last.

We also have some great Linux.com
teeshirts thanks to VA Linux
Systems
. These are free when you buy a Linux Today teeshirt.
And there are some nifty posters we are giving away by the Linux
Image Montage Project (LIMP).

If you’re attending Linux Expo this week, be sure to come into
the Linux Today booth and meet us and get some goodies.
