The first issue was January 29, 1998.

The Linux Today editors wish to thank Jonathan Corbet and Liz
Coolbaugh of Linux Weekly News for the service they have rendered
to the Linux community in the past year.

There can be no doubt that by organizing and integrating the
Linux news into one publication, the Linux Weekly News has played a
significant role in the success which Linux now enjoys.
