“I thought I’d tell you what happened while I was sharing a six
pack of beer with everybody on Saturday. Things were winding down.
We all were preparing for a quiet evening. I had some tasks to
complete in the office. But I cracked open the beer anyway. It was
only one apiece anyway.”
“I like to keep a clean desktop (Enlightenment, not furniture).
Like most of us, I almost never tidy up my Netscape bookmarks. It
was time. Some of the links I hadn’t used in ages. Many of them
pointed out into Tumbolia. Some of them were still active but
hadn’t been updated in ages. (Isn’t it terrible about the
Lusitania?) Six links I couldn’t part with even though I hadn’t
clicked on them in a while. I decided that that was because these
six links were some of the most valuable Linux Net connections I
had ever come across. All six had saved me an incredible amount of
time and effort in getting my network running smoothly….”
“While sharing a six pack of beer with my family, I was
looking at a six pack of links which I judged were uniquely
essential to my sanity. I would like to share them with
you….“
