“Dear Lina,
I’ve switched to Linux from Windows. I admire the flexibility and
power of the Linux OS. The more I use it, the more I get hooked to
it. Your column helped me realize I was smart enough to make the
change. Now I have a question that you might be able to help me
with. I’m using Linux Mandrake 6.1. I log in as the root user.
In the /root directory, I find a file called “core”. I have tried
to delete it, but it always reappears when I log out and log in
again. Where is this file coming from?…

They recently purchased a new domain name for marketing
purposes.”

old domain. I would really like a fast way to update it. If you
