friends at the Software Industry Promotion Agency’s (SIPA) open
source department, headed by a charming Englishman called James
Clark. They are going to launch an Open Source Art Contest and I
offered to put a spin on it in time for their launch at the
Thailand Animation and Multimedia event (which starts today).

spent most of our time talking about other things, such as whether
Google is a good example of open source or not. Indeed, the
conversation touched on the very core of what constitutes open
