“Conectiva, a Brazilian Linux company based in São Paolo,
plans to expand its service network further into Latin American
territory as a result of investment capital from Intel Capital and
LatinTech Capital, according to a Conectiva company release. The
precise details of the investment were not disclosed.”
“Conectiva was founded in 1995 and concentrates on the Latin
American market, providing Linux in Portuguese, Spanish and English
versions, the release said. Conectiva also develops books, manuals,
software, embedded systems, original equipment manufacturer (OEM)
programs, and other products and services related to Linux and Open
Source software. Consulting and training services and technical
support are also offered to the Latin American Linux community. A
Conectiva Linux certification program is also in place.”
