“BASCOM, an Internet Linux development company, premiered
its Open Source Equipment Exchange program, designed to match
donors of computer equipment with Open Source community
programs.
The service is a free resource, intended by BASCOM
as a way to thank the Open Source community.”

“Initially announced this past February at the LinuxWorld
conference in New York, the plan has garnered widespread support,
illustrating the best of the collaborative spirit consistent with
the Open Source method, according to an OSEE statement.”

“Through the program, Open Source developers can obtain needed
computer and hardware resources, enabling them to further the
evolution of Linux. Either the donor or the recipient can initiate
the process.”
