deals with VA Linux and MandrakeSoft, riding Linux’s jet stream to
the dot-com heavens.”
“Active Concepts believes that increasing its relationships with
Linux companies will help it fill an emerging market niche as the
Linux market continues to grow. “Companies that have invested in
Linux require analytical software that details their customers’
behavior and market penetration,” said Darren Williams, Active
Concepts’ CEO. “Co-marketing with VA Linux and [cultivating]
technology partnerships with Mandrake enable Active Concepts to
provide the best e-business intelligence and analysis tools
possible.”
“Active Concepts spokesperson Carolyn Harrington said
the company plans to test its Funnel Web flagship product on
integrated Linux software and hardware distributed by VA Linux.
Active plans to maintain direct access to Mandrake’s source code
and beta versions for development purposes.”
