“Zope development got a shot in the arm this week with an
agreement aimed at enhancing the Open Source Web application
server’s funding and development.”

“Zope developer Digital Creations and Cosource.com, a
self-described “cooperative market for Open Source,” have announced
a partnership geared to accelerate Zope’s cash flow and continuing
development. The agreement includes cross-linking of Zope.org and
Cosource Web pages focusing on Zope development, and plans to
co-fund specific project improvements, said Digital Creations
spokesperson Eric Hause.”

“Under the deal, Zope users visiting Cosource.com can request
Zope feature enhancements or help fund features suggested by
others, said Cosource spokesperson Norm Jacobowitz. “Visitors to
Zope.org will have direct access to the relevant Cosource.com
projects and data. Digital Creations and Cosource.com will also be
posting specific, coordinated requests for Zope development. Any
software developer who is a member of Cosource.com will be able to
submit proposals to complete the paid work.”
