“I wanted to see what Corel www.corel.com had to offer from
a LinuxNewbie point of view. I have to admit, I was
impressed.”

“One of the main complaints you read on the “Rants” section of
LNO is “Linux is too hard”. Several people have made the
observation that Linux will always be limited in it’s popularity
until it’s as easy to install and run as Windows. Personally, I may
argue the idea that Windows is easy to install, but the point is
well taken.”

“Corel approaches it’s distribution with this same idea: Linux
should be easy to install and run. To get to this goal they’ve
moved much of the setup out of the installation. Their distribution
is built with the concept of “Get it running first, then configure
it”. To this end, their installation has only 4 screens, and that
include the “Accept the GPL License” screen.”
