“CyberFlat, a virtual representation of a Netherlands apartment,
gives prying eyes a peek at the cyberlife, times, interests and
pets of two Dutch hackers who prefer to be known for interview
purposes as Juggler and ||MeG. The majority of CyberFlat’s
functions run on Linux–mostly Slackware–which is how Juggler met
his friend and chronicler, Milan Kaihatu.”

“‘I started a company here in the Netherlands named Insource
with Juggler and I’m a Linux user,’ Kaihatu explained. ‘Not a real
code-hacker, but I tend to do some PHP/MySQL myself. Juggler and
||meg used Linux from the beginning.'”

“Kaihatu summarized CyberFlat’s history. When the duo’s Linux
hobby outgrew the room they used in their parents’ house, Juggler
and ||MeG found an apartment and quickly changed it to suit their
needs, wiring it with cat-5 cable, phone lines, and other necessary
data connections. ‘Starting with a few computers, basically running
Linux, the boys had good fun on their network,’ Kaihatu
remembered.”
