LinuxPR: A new partnership between IBM and Alcve for Debian GNU/Linux support services

“Debian GNU/Linux, the current market leader (27% ), is also the
only major non-commercial Linux distribution. For its reinsurance,
IBM Global Services has chosen Alcôve, a company reputed for
its know-how in open-source software and with particular expertise
in Debian GNU/Linux.”

“This partnership between IBM Global Services and Alcôve
confirms IBM’s commitment to the provision of consulting,
design, implementation, integration and training services for
innovative Linux-based solutions.”

For Alcôve, this partnership forms part of its European
development plan and confirms its position as a reference in
open-source software expertise

“Linux Support Line includes a telephone hot-line to identify
subscribers’ problems and to find rapid solutions. Technical
support covers all aspects of software installation, operation and
utilization in a Linux environment. The Linux hot-line is open
during office hours and may be extended to provide a 24-hour
service. Problems are handled within 2 hours and the number of
calls is unlimited. The service is available for all IBM
(Netfinity, IntelliStation, ThinkPad) and non-IBM (HP, Compaq,
etc.) configurations.”
