“BeComputing.com announced today the availability of its latest
line of computers, GeekMachines. The first model in the line, the
iGeek, features an Intel Celeron processor, a 3dfx Voodoo Banshee
based 3D video card and a translucent case design. Priced at $799,
the system offers a full list of features with high quality parts
and no integrated peripherals.

“Debian or RedHat Linux comes preinstalled, with a discounted
BeOS available. While all other systems come with both BeOS and
Linux pre-installed, BeComputing.com offers their systems at a
lower price and offers BeOS as an option at a reduced fee.

“The iGeek is the first new line released since the recent
merger of BeComputing and WiredPenguin, BeOS and Linux system
manufacturers, respectively.”
