“Caldera Systems, Inc., a provider of award-winning Linux
products and services, announced today that it has filed a
registration statement with the Securities Exchange Commission
(SEC) for an initial public offering (IPO). The offering will
be managed by Robertson Stephens, Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., Wit
Capital Group, Inc. and First Security Van Kasper.
The net
proceeds of the offering will be used for general corporate
purposes.

“A registration statement relating to these securities has been
filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission but has not yet
become effective.”

“The Company Caldera Systems, Inc. enables the development,
deployment and management of Linux specialized servers and Internet
access devices that simplify computing.”
