LinuxPR: Free SuSE Linux CD In MacTech Magazine!

“SuSE first to bring Enterprise level Linux to the Apple PowerPC
platform.”

“SuSE Linux AG and MacTech Magazine announced today that a free
distribution CD of the soon to be released SuSE Linux for the Apple
PowerPC will be included in the June 2000 issue of MacTech
Magazine.”

This CD will be a fully working distribution of Linux on
the 2.2.14 kernel, with SuSE’s powerful installation tool as well
as other open-source software.
“SuSE is very excited to be
introducing the first fully engineered version of Linux for the
Apple PowerPC,” comments Dirk Hohndel, CTO of SuSE Linux. “This
release utilizes our knowledge, successes, and technologies from
our existing distributions. The user can look forward to a simple
installation and a user-friendly configuration at the end of the
setup.” The CD does not expire and can be distributed freely.”
