Project will lower the cost of domain registration, benefit
Linux Community Development and Benevolence Funds, and allow ALL
members of Linux community to share in profits associated with the
service.

“This creates a real win win win for the Linux Community.”

“The first win is because no one really likes giving 35 bucks a
year to Network Solutions or Register.Com. So, we have done a very
Linux Like Thing, we have reduced the price for registration nearly
in half. The cost of a new or renewed registration will be only
$18.00.”

“The Second win is the benefit it will have on the Linux
Community charitable groups. $3.00 of each paid registration will
be set aside in a fund to be distributed to Linux Community
development or benevolence funds. The potential is real for this
project to raise millions of dollars for these charitable groups.
It will all depend on the level of support we get out of the
members of the linux community.”

“The third win is an inducement that we are hoping will motivate
that cooperation and support by other popular Linux Sites, be they
for-profit or non-profit. We are setting up an affiliate program
that will record the site origination of a link to our Internet
based registration tool. We are going to compensate our affiliates
$2.00 US for any paid registration that goes through the
registration tool, that originated from the affiliate site.”
