Scalable to multiple terabytes of centralized SCSI or Fibre
Channel storage.

“LAND-5 Corporation today introduced the iCEbox UltraPod, a
versatile 2U network attached storage solution designed to quickly
and easily provide additional storage for workgroups and corporate
departments. The iCEbox UltraPod’s powerful configuration features
a Pentium III processor, incorporates up to four hot-swappable
Wide-Ultra2 disk drives and supports RAID levels 0, 1, 0+1, 4 or 5.
Up to twenty-four of these compact systems can be installed in a
single full-height rack.”

“The iCEbox UltraPod is easy to install, cost-effective, and
extremely robust. It plugs directly into the network, without
disrupting existing users. A DHCP agent automatically finds and
sets the IP and subnet address. Sophisticated features like Network
Information Services allows existing Linux, UNIX and Windows
network clients to quickly gain transparent access to additional
file storage. Typical installation time for the iCEbox UltraPod is
less than 30 minutes.”
