real-time and high availability solutions, today announced the
appointment of Ishrat Hakim as vice president of Asia Pacific sales
and corporate development. Effective immediately, Hakim assumes
responsibility for Lineo’s overall sales strategy and execution in
Asia Pacific for all countries and sales channels.Hakim will also
have responsibility for Lineo investments and corporate development
in Asia Pacific and will report directly to Richard Larsen, senior
vice president of worldwide sales for Lineo.”

business in the Asia Pacific region,” said Richard Larsen, senior
vice president of worldwide sales, Lineo, Inc. “Ishrat helps to

epicenter of the embedded market. His past experience is invaluable
to the future success of Lineo.”

“Hakim brings more than 20 years of direct and indirect software
sales, marketing and management experience to Lineo. Most recently,
he headed worldwide sales of the Solaris operating system at Sun
Microsystems and also served as the director of Asia Pacific Java
and Network Systems product sales. During his six years at Sun, he
also led Sun’s Asia Pacific market penetration for consumer and
embedded devices, wireless and broadband service providers,
smartcards and digital television.”
