“… an international demonstration of Linux which coincides
with the anniversary of Linux…”

“VA Linux Systems… today announced a corporate sponsorship of
Linux Demo Day, a volunteer oriented project in collaboration with
local Linux user groups (LUGs) and corporate sponsors. The goal of
the project is to hold an international demonstration of Linux
which coincides with the anniversary of Linux, from September
12-18, 1999.”

“The sponsorship by VA Linux Systems, along with RedHat and
Turbo Linux, fosters the Linux Demo Day project to move forward in
its progress toward an international demonstration of Linux.
Participating user groups will educate potential Linux users to
test Linux products without taking the risk of an uninformed
purchase. Users can also learn about the available support
infrastructure surrounding the Linux platform.”
