“Linux Journal, the monthly magazine of the Linux community, is
proud to announce the publication of a special supplement to be
released in October 2000. The supplement, titled Embedded Linux
Journal, will focus on the use of open-source operating systems in
embedded systems design, and more specifically, the use of Linux in
developing and running these devices.”

The use of an open-source OS, such as Linux, offers many
advantages for both the developers and users of embedded
systems.
Our upcoming supplement, Embedded Linux Journal, will
look at the different ways Linux could be used in building and
testing embedded systems, and at the advantages of having Linux
embedded,” said Linux Journal Publisher, Phil Hughes.
