LinuxPR: Linux Professional Institute Announces Completion of First Exam

The Linux Professional Institute (LPI) announced today the
completion of its first exam and its global deployment within the
next several weeks.

“We are delighted to have developed our first exam within our
first year of operation,” said Scott Murray, Director of Exam
Development for LPI, “this represents a major milestone for LPI and
for the growth of the larger Linux community.”

“The first LPI exam, designated “T1a”, covers
distribution-neutral topics regarding basic Linux administration
tasks. It is the first of a series of exams that LPI is producing
as part of its Level One certification. The T1a exam will become
available through the global network of more than 1,650 VUE testing
centers within the month of December –
candidates will be able to register to take the exams through VUE’s
website www.vue.com) or directly through their local VUE testing
centers.”
