Linuxlinks.com introduces the Linux Package Guide, another
free service dedicated to the Linux community.

“The Package Guide is located at
http://www.firstlinux.com/package/ and contains information on the
core packages of the RedHat, SuSE, Caldera and Debian distributions
for the Intel platform. The database is fully searchable allowing
you to find out whether a particular distribution supports your
favorite application, and moreover, in which package that
application is stored. Currently both .rpm and .deb packages are
supported and we anticipate adding further distributions as their
use becomes more widespread.”

“The Package Guide will be regularly updated with the latest
packages and contributions from the Linux community are always
welcome.”
