“OpenSales, Inc., the leading provider of open source e-commerce
applications, today announced it has been chosen over Oracle and
other software vendors to completely integrate the fulfillment,
physical storefront and e-commerce offerings of Nutripeak, Inc.,
one of North America’s leading suppliers of nutritional sports
supplements. Slated for completion in the fourth quarter of this
year, the project will bring together Nutripeak’s real-time
storefront points-of-sale, warehouse operations and inventory
management with financial reporting and e-commerce functions
through the OpenSales AllCommerce e-commerce application. Nutripeak
will also use the application to replace the Intershop software it
currently uses for its commercial Web site.”

“Nutripeak, which recently merged with Sports Nutrition Depot to
become the largest non-franchise nutritional supplement supplier in
North America, will offer over 3,000 separate items, including
special performance supplements, herbs and botanicals, vitamins and
other supplements demanded by athletes and physical fitness
enthusiasts. The company plans to use OpenSales AllCommerce for its
own internal operations as well as for other suppliers of health
goods for which it acts as a major fulfillment center.”

“We chose OpenSales because of the vendor’s ability to
implement a complete solution at a fraction of the cost and time of
proprietary offerings,”
said Barry D. Blake, CEO of Nutripeak,
Inc. “Plus, the open source approach allowed us to freely
evaluate the OpenSales AllCommerce source code before we made our
decision, something that Oracle and other vendors were unable to
offer.”
