LinuxPR: Penguinistas Get DSL too!

BPS Internet Access leaks advance word of DSL service
offering. DSL high speed internet access, and funding to the Linux
Community, what could be better?

“GeekCast.Com Networks let the secret leak today that their new
BPS Internet Access that officially launches January 1st 2000, will
also be offering Digital Subscriber Line or DSL service in 22
national markets. BPS Internet Access, and the DSL service, is a
cooperative effort of GeekCast and Internet Service Providers
across the US to create a fundraiser for The Benevolent Penguin
Society, a Linux community benevolence organization. The DSL
service is being provided with the cooperation of Pinnacle Internet
and Covad Networks. GeekCast CEO Jeff Gerhardt “The launch of the
Access and DSL services should get the The Benevolent Penguin
Society a long way down the road to their funding goals. However,
we have some other business alliances we will be announcing soon
that will expand this a great deal.”

“The Benchmark price of $49.88/mo for 384K/128K consumer ADSL is
the initial service offering.”
