LinuxPR: SourceGear Releases Open Source Software for Creating Wireless-accessible Community Portals

“SourceGear Corporation today unveiled a development release of
a new Open Source project, a framework for building community
portals. The project, named “lloop”, is comprised of a
collection of rich, database-backed Python Pages which can produce
content viewable on both desktop and wireless devices (such as the
Palm VII).
These files are processed by the lloop server
platform, also constructed in Python, and served by the Apache web
server. The portal works with many popular relational database
engines, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and InterBase. The software
is distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public
License.”

“Organizations can download lloop, free of charge, and quickly
deploy their own customized information portal. The source code can
be obtained from the lloop community site’s Downloads page.
SourceGear Corporation’s Professional Services Group provides
customized web information system solutions using the lloop
software.”
