“Sun Wah Hi-Tech Group (SWHT) and The Hong Kong Polytechnic
University (PolyU) officially held a signing ceremony on the PolyU
campus yesterday (30 October) for the establishment of the Sun Wah
VPolyU Linux Training & Development Centre.”
“The Centre is the first of its kind amongst higher education
institutions in Hong Kong to offer an internationally accredited
Linux certification programme for users in the region and to focus
on the research and development of Linux-based application.”
“The Centre aims to foster development for Linux
professionals and promote the use of Linux in Asia. The
certification programme is designed on the basis of the Linux
Professional Institute’s guidelines and hands-on experience, which
enables trainees to gain a good understanding of Linux system
deployment, Linux system administration and Linux system
development. The Centre offers elementary, advanced and
professional courses on daytime or evening basis.”
