the availability for download of the latest version of the Linux
desktop KDE and the forthcoming release of an update package for
KDE 2.0.”

“KDE 2.0, aka Kopernicus, is a further step in the development
of Linux and Unix desktop environments. This highly anticipated
release follows the award-winning KDE 1 series that culminated in
the release of KDE 1.1.2 more than a year ago. Kopernicus is the
result of work by several hundred software engineers from more than
30 countries who are dedicated to the development of open source
software.”
