The Linux Commercial Ports Counter Project is a project
designed to count the number of requests for ports of commercial
products to linux.

“When the number of requests for a port of a product gets high
enough the manufacturer of the product will be contacted and the
logs submitted to them. Responses from the producers of the
products will be posted online.”

“The goal of the project is to get developers to realize that
Linux is a viable platform and users want to see their software or
hardware ported to Linux. Currently only a few items are on the
list, submissions for the list are more than welcome.”
