second behind the Unix command line functionality, and to step down
from Apple’s already classy graphics software to X (which on many

would be a nightmare marketing move for Apple.”

unless you are an accredited Apple developer. Furthermore, Apple
has not made public any plans to release the source code of Mac OS
X under any open source licence, let alone the Linux-standard GPL.
So you are going to be compromising both your ideals and your
wallet if you switch camps to OS X. Most people are expecting to
shell out around $100 Aussie dollars for the full release of Mac OS
X, not to mention the cost of eventually upgrading all your
software from Mac OS 9 to run natively in the radically different
X.”
