Lobby4Linux, that is, several members of the Lobby4Linux
website; thought it was time to do something about getting Linux
into the mainstream… and it looks like many agree. A
professional, methodical and well-planned advertising campaign for
GNU/Linux would work… if done correctly. The idea was pitched on
a small scale, and it seems there was no one without an opinion…
Comments and emails were numerous. Many of them were highly
critical, others supportive, and the majority that did agree did so
with caveat. ‘This idea will work if such and such is done…'”
