“We are pleased to announce the Sneak Preview of the Lotus
Domino R5 for Linux! This release further demonstrates Lotus’
commitment to supporting multiple platforms on Domino and
continuing the strong momentum Linux has generated in the
enterprise and outsource community. At Lotusphere ’99, Jeff Papows
announced that Lotus planned to ship Domino R5 on Linux, and since
then, there has been a lot of excitement from the Lotus Business
Partner community as well as existing and prospective customers. By
adding Linux to its existing platform portfolio, Lotus is further
differentiating itself from competitors and allowing customers to
select the platform that best meets the needs of their unique
network and application environment.”
