LPI Level 2 Objectives Draft Published

[ Thanks to Kara Pritchard
for this link. ]

The Linux Professional Institute (http://www.lpi.org/) Level 2 Exam
Development team has published the first draft of the Level 2 Exam
Objectives targeted toward the Level 2 Senior Systems Administrator
Certification exams. The objectives can be found at: http://www.lpi.org/p-L2-obj-pre.html.

LPI would like comments, feedback, additions, and corrections
from the Linux community as a continuing effort to maintain LPI’s
Linux community development methods.

The current objectives were derived from a development team on
LPI’s Exam Development mailing list after reviewing administration
tasks which were subject to a Job Analysis survey conducted earlier
this year. To participate in this mailing list, email listar@lpi.org with “subscribe
lpi-examdev” in the SUBJECT of the message.

The current objectives draft is known to be incomplete and is
currently under review to address distribution specific issues to
adhere to LPI’s distribution and vendor neutrality standards. The
objectives are also under review to address technical accuracy
issues. LPI hopes that public participation will speed this process
and ensure a more complete program.

To participate, you can review the objectives and comment on the
lpi-examdev list (as listed above) or email your comments directly
to LPI’s Director of Exam Development, Kara Pritchard.

Participation in finalizing the objectives will facilitate the
Level 2 Item development which will begin with an Item Writing
Session to be held next week, June 18-22. If you would like to
participate by providing your Senior Sysadmin expertise and submit
items, you may submit them directly to Kara, or participate in an
on-line effort similar to LPI’s Level 1 development program, which
should be live next week.

If you have any questions, you may post them to lpi-examdev@lpi.org (if you are a
listmember), or Kara Pritchard,
(618)398-7360. LPI looks forward to your participation!
