“Applix UK today announced that Arup, a global organisation
of consulting engineers, has selected Applix’s Enterprise Solution
for the internal help desk in two of their main offices: London and
Hong Kong.
Arup are best known as the engineers for the Sydney
Opera House, the Pompidou Centre in France and the Lloyds Building
in London, and are currently working on the Millennium Footbridge
in London and the Channel Tunnel Rail Link.”

“Arup signed a contract with Applix in June 1999. One and a half
months later with the help of an Applix Consultant to customise the
solution, the implementation is nearly complete and about to go
live in London. The solution has been implemented in Hong Kong and
is already being used by the help desk team to support more than
700 employees.”
