“Red Hat Europe, the leading developer and provider of open
source software solutions, today launches the Red Hat Certified
Reseller Programme (RHCR).”

This programme is free to join, but the reseller has to
have at least one Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE). The programme
will help resellers maximise market opportunity while maintaining
the highest standards of service to customers buying through the
channel.

“Iain Farthing, Red Hat’s Northern European Channel Sales
Manager said, “The underlying purpose of the Programme is to ensure
that the channel has all the right skills to sell Linux. Red Hat
recognises that much of the success of Linux has been the direct
result of unprecedented co-operation among many diverse people,
organisations and companies throughout the world. The Red Hat
Reseller Programme is a critical building block for the success of
the open source movement and for Red Hat.”
