“Unless you live in a vacuum, you must’ve heard the talk about
Novell finding itself under the Free Software Foundation’s
microscope. What’s interesting is that it looks like under the
current GPLv2 (GPL2) guidelines, Novell hasn’t done anything wrong.
So, what’s all the concern about then? Simple, it’s called GPLv3
(GPL3).

“In many respects, I feel for Novell on this one. Even though I
believe that the deal with Microsoft regarding patents was little
more than corporate covering, the fact remains that Novell did what
they felt was needed to keep itself from being litigated into
oblivion…”
