This release improves hard disk reformatting and Broadcom wireless
support.

“Warren Woodford of MEPIS tells the tail of MEPIS Broadcom
support ‘In the past we’ve had pretty good Broadcom support as a
result of working with users, but I felt we could do better by
testing in-house. I’ve been on a quest for a Broadcom card for over
a year, but every time I though I was buying one, it turned out the
manufacturer had recently switched chips to another vendor…'”
