aspirations and released the product as open source some time ago,
but that doesn’t mean you should get the trash bin out just yet.
Keeping the flame alive, Mozilla has unveiled Penelope, a project
with the intentions of uniting the Eudora user experience with
Thunderbird. This match made in open source heaven has produced
Eudora 8.0.0 beta 1, and from the readme file Penelope sounds more
or less to be an add-on for Thunderbird that mimics much of the
look and functionality of Eudora for those who still prefer the
aged client…”
